~ADJUSTING~

Wow, adjusting has been really smooth for our kids. They have made friends at school real fast and seem to enjoy it. I feel guilty though, our neighborhood before the move gave us the opportunity to have our front door open and kids running in and out all day! Since we have been here we have been so busy with getting all moved in, having a baby and Casey getting a job. It's been a lot. The kids so far haven't had any of their friend's parents invite them to play and I just haven't felt ready to invite some of their new friends over. They keep asking me and I keep putting them off. I try to explain that I just haven't felt well enough yet. This baby has been by far the hardest to recover from. I thought that everyone said that if you go all natural during the labor that you recover much quicker and feel better faster. Well that's truly not the case with me. I am guessing that is more because Zyan was 9 lbs and just did a double wammie on my body!!! Not to mention that we have a huge move within three weeks of delivering. I guess that's enough to take it out of ya!

The adjustment for me has been much harder. I have made great progress this past week though. It's so crazy how the smallest things can make such a big deal. I have been very emotional to all the new changes. I have felt like such a dork crying over how different the walmart is or the cold weather has been. I have missed driving around my old town, or having my sister to go to the little store and get a pop with. Oh it's killing me not being able to have my niece over to play. I miss not having a bath tub or my own house to clean and organize, not to mention my own space. But I must say that I really appreciate my in laws for making such a huge sacrifice by letting us stay here and invading there home and by helping us out so much!

Casey has had a job for 5 weeks now. He is writing for a local newspaper as a sports reporter. He enjoys the writing part a lot and has done quite well at it. It has been fun for our family to go to all the local football games and to see so much town spirit. It has been great for us to get an idea of all the small towns and what they have to offer as well. The job has had it ups and downs a little too. When he was hired he understood to be a part time job for the pay he is getting and that worked. Then after two weeks it became a full time job for the same pay. Well with a family of 7 to support it doesn't work, so he has been looking for other jobs to open up. He had to put getting his real estate license on hold because of me having Zyan two weeks early, during the time his classes where scheduled for. We are looking into ways for him to still get this accomplished. Casey has a real estate broker that really wants him to come work for him selling commerical and residential. Here in Idaho they haven't seen a huge decline in homes sales. We have been told that they keep appreciating at the annual 3% a year. So it still seems like a wise investment.

I can't believe we have been in Idaho for almost 2 months now. It's has gone by quick and I am glad things are starting to become part of a normal routine.

I'm sure its because of all the crazy stress that was surrounding the birth and the adjusting following. You'll get there. Be patient and remember to give yourself all the time you need. Your kids will have friends over soon enough. Mommy needs to be healthy and ready first!! You are awesome. Hang in there.
