The light inside a tunnel!

I have wanted to write an update, but unsure what to write! I am not the best at putting my feelings and thoughts into words. So I won't, I will share what keeps coming to me the past few days. I read an Ensign article in 2008 that I have always loved, it has stuck with me and has given me great strength!

Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “We lived in the presence of God our Holy Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, in a premortal existence. … We were told
“… You were taught and prepared for the circumstances you would personally encounter in mortality. … Your memory of premortal life would be kept from you to assure that it would be a valid test, but there would be guidance given to show you how to live. Our Father’s plan for salvation in this life with the opportunity of returning to Him would be called the gospel of Jesus Christ” (“Truth Restored,” Liahona and Ensign, Nov. 2005, 78–79).

The knowledge I get, knowing I was taught and prepared for the trials I,and my family has encounter this past week, gives me great peace and strength! To know I was prepared to handle this trial, and given all the tools I would need to get through any and all trials I will face. That's the greatest blessing I could ever ask for. I have comfort, happiness and the knowledge that what we are to do can and will happen!

I want to tell everyone that has supported us this week "THANK YOU"! You have helped build us up, offer love, comfort and support! Your guys are the best!!!!

A sad and heart wrenching end!

Hi everyone,
Oh where to begin. A lot has happened over the last two day. Today has been a very emotional and very difficult day to say the least! We just finished sitting down with our kids and explaining to them that their brother and sister aren't coming home. That Kingsley and Sarah situation in Ghana wasn't at all what we were made to believe it was. That they have a loving family and that that family isn't certain on adoption and what it actually entails. As a mom that was so heart wrenching and painful, to see my kids suffer, to see them go through such disappointment and grieving. We have all cried together and prayed together. I have always admired and appreciated how determined and faithful my kids have been, how willing they are to sacrifice of themselves to bring their siblings home. They will and have given all of themselves to make it happen. I have worried about squashing their faith, squashing their trust in the adoption process and in people, squashing their desire to ever adopt again. But again my kids have been amazing and have surprised me. They are strong and know that adoption is what's right for our family. They want us to move forward, they want us to do all we can as parents to find our children, their siblings, that need to be apart of our family. Of course they are hurt, sad, disappointed and can't understand why people chose to make dishonest choices. But they have found hope within themselves and within our family to keep going. I don't know what this means for us right now, how we are to move forward past this, or what we will do in the near future. All I can say right now is that I have HOPE in my heart and Faith in the Lord that he has lead us here a reason, a reason I don't understand now, but will some day. As a family we are leaning on our testimonies and on our own personal revelations to get us through this difficult time. Thank you all for supporting us through emails, phone calls, orders and with the desire in your heart to bring our family together forever.I feel so bad that this happens to affect you as well. I am so sorry!
I want everyone to know we are not done, we will still fight, fight for our family that's not yet complete and someday we will be blessed with our children. As of right now we are working on obtaining the money we sent, we aren't sure if we will get it back, but hope we will. Our entire family has went to great lengths to sacrifice for every penny of it. Please keeps us in your prayers.
I found this on a good friends blog, someone I admire and appreciate it. And it really fits to how I feel right now so I thought I would share it!

DOWN 25 LBS!!!!!

Zyan is now 17 months old, since having him I have been carrying around all his pregnancy weight. I have always passionate about working out or running after having all my other kids. But over our past year and a half and all the busyness and craziness life has brought us. I just couldn't find the mental strength to take care of myself. To focus on running, working out or eating healthy. But since we have moved into our new home and things have became a lot more stable I finally felt like it was time. So Jan 18th I started a diet(if you want more details I will email you personally, leave me your email address)I am so happy to say that I just finished my full 7 weeks and I am down 25 pounds. WAHOOO. I feel so much lighter, healthier and happier about myself. I now in the 2nd week of what's called the 3 week maintenance phase(slowly adding things back into my diet). I am now working on other goals for the future. I want to run a few 5k,7ks and maybe a 10k before the year is up. My goal for next week is to start working out, running, or a beach body video. Now I am on to tightening and toning everything back up :P

wild man "CRASH" hermansen

Zyan is officially our E.R. baby. When the e.r knows you by name you know they've seen ya way to many times. We've made consistent trips there every 2 months over the past year. I am really beginning to hope this stops soon, but I have a feeling Zyan is making up for all of our OTHER NON-ER CHILDREN!

Our friends, the Perry's were wonderful. They called us up out of the blue and asked us if we wanted to join them "FOR FREE" for an up and coming weekend away. We were so excited and boy did we need it. We were on our way out Friday evening when our dog went into labor and had 10 puppies throughout the night. Casey and I took off early Saturday morning and made it there by noon(without our luggage I should add LOL). The Perry's were up skiing, so Casey and I enjoyed some quite game time and t.v. time. The time with our friends was PERFECT!!! I love playing games and just hanging out. It's crazy what 12 hours of quietness and a serene surroundings can do for you. Our friends, the Perry's ARE WONDERFUL we love you guys :).Thank you so much. On our way home Halli called us all frantic and then Camry called not to long later. Zyan had fallen and indowed into the fireplace ledge face first. After talking with G-ma she wasn't to worried after getting his nose to stop bleeding. When I saw him for the first time I was shocked. His nose was CROOKED, very bruised and swollen all the way into his eye. He had a gash along the side of his nostril that was open. So off to the E.R. we went. They glued the gash the best they could and took a few x-rays but can't determine exact diagnoses, they did say that it looks lined up on the x-ray and they hope that once the swelling goes down his nose will no longer be crocked or broke. So now we wait! He's being a trooper. PICTURE TO FOLLOW SHORTLY!
