After watching the You tube video on Nick(A giant of a man) that I posted on my blog a few days ago. It really got me thinking. He sure has found a way to accept the life that God has given him. He's learned to over come his daily challenges within his own disabilities and made them capabilities. What I started to think about is how Nick is embraced by the world for overcoming so many obstacles in his life. I know I was in AWE watching how he manages to get through his day and how little things can be a much larger task for NICK and they exhume much more effort. What makes Me and the world so intrigued is that it's visible. We can see what some of his challenges are, we can see how life may be difficult and how he handles it. What I also realized is there are many many people out there in the world that live each day just as Nick does with major illness or sickness that aren't noticeable. And the sad thing is that some of these illness aren't accepted as challenges to live with or they don't get the same uplifting praise that Nick gets for living their lives. Now let me clarify, I love Nick and find him very inspiring and I had to ask myself do I have this same inspiration for others that have DEPRESSION, MENTAL ILLNESS, SEVERE ARTHRITIS, DEBILITATING BACK PAIN, CHRONIC FATIGUE, FIBROMYALIGIA, CANCER, DIABETES'S. The list goes and on. Some of these illness can run peoples lives and can take an awful lot to deal with and overcome, BUT ARE THE people that survive these illnesses Considered AS INSPIRING?
(THEY SHOULD BE)Just a thought that opened my eyes. As a world why are we more acceptable to what is apparent to us and more willing to judge what is not. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. It's just something that has really weighted heavily on my mind and I thought I would share.
