I always get so excited to transition my kids when I see an inkling that they are ready. Livy has been sleeping in a play pin since we brought her home from the hospital. We did everything to make it really comfortable, an egg carton, and some real heavy blankets but she's never slept the greatest through the night. When we moved I thought why not put her in Elijah's room (since he so badly wants to share it with someone) on the bottom bunk. So last weekend was the first night. I covered the window to make it darker in the room and a rail on the side of her bed so she won't fall off. For the first few days she never got out and she has been sleeping all the way through the night and in the morning we have to go wake her up. The last two days she has been a little adventures and tries to get out and play. So we now have the uh-oh chair, a few times there and she's done. Overall it has went fantastic.
This pictures is of Casey and I going in and checking on her and this is what we found. Can you find her half way under the end of the bed sleeping. Oh what a cutie :)!

Wow your family just keeps on growing, how great! They are all so beautiful! It was fun reading what you have been up to. My sister lives in Idaho,(Rexburg)and I was up there in October, I don't know if I could be up there now, I definently like the sun like a lot! Try not to freeze!! :)
Sweet baby! I can't believe you have her in a bed already. I still have Taevin in a crib and he is two. I like that he can't get out. I know, I'm mean. :-)
Tonya,
Do I have your email address?? I don't know but if you need, there is a link on my blog to email me.
There are many restrictions with Chinese adoption, family size is one- especially for non-special needs adoption. Grace was our first adoption from China, non-special needs. We then applied for another non-special needs child (this just means a baby girl that China assigns to the family) but we found our daughter on our agencies special needs list and adopted Pearl at age 7 (age was her special need)instead.
As a surprise, we also found Kai, our son on our agencies special needs list. He has a heart condition. We traveled to China last March to adopt him.
I feel like we adopted from China in the 'golden age' of Chinese adoption- the kinks were worked out and the timing was perfect for our family. China is changing and the adoption scene is being effected. Feel free to email me if you have more questions...I can talk about it ALL DAY!

That is so cute. I'm glad she's doing so well in her big girl bed. I love the uh-oh chair idea too. You are too clever.
Ah, Tawna... I love this photo.. You kids always crack me up they are doing the cutest stuff.. I honestly can't believe she feel asleep like this on the floor..I wish I could relax like that.. it is the cutest picture.. the funny thing is it really tooks me a few seconds to find her... I love this girl.. Ah, I miss her so much. Give her hugs from me... and tell her auntie mara loves her..I am so happy to see that her transition to a big bed has been a good one... I am still a chicken with Addysen... I think I have waited too long and it is going to be a nightmare.. silly me.
Love ya,
smiles,
